Strong vs Weak

Versus is centered around self improvement. Most clients spend a good portion of their week with us, carving out their weak points and refining them – re-defining their abilities. Strengthening. Lengthening. Mobilising. Sharpening focus and honing skills. Pushing well beyond their comfort zone and into the place where all the good stuff happens.

We have a fabulous community of clients who are welcoming and varied in abilities. All share the understanding that we are there to get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

We offer three different settings for your Strength & Conditioning Training at Versus.

Personal Training

Personal Training

This is ideal for individuals who either have scheduling issues that prevent them from Group Training or specific needs that require customised programming. Anything from preferences to post natal considerations to sports specific customisation. These appointments are all 60 minutes in duration and can range from a single session to years of on-going training. The choice is yours, because the goal is yours. I just make sure you get there.

These sessions utelise the full spectrum of training approaches, however I would say that our speciality is more towards the functional, primal movement end of the scale with a strong preference towards obstacle / agility styled exercises.

This is not your best destination for injury rehabilitation – Look for “clinical rehab specialist” and book an appointment with Rhyl to get you moving again, if that’s what you’re after.

Small Group Personal Training

Small Group Personal Training

Very much the same as the Personal Training, however the focus is divided between 2-4 clients at a time. This is a great starting place for most clients who have had a long period off training and are wanting a slightly more gentle step back in the door. That said, there are less places to hide in a small group, so a sneaky 5 seconds rest here and there is probably less likely. The up-side to this is that your form is more closely critiqued.

In a nut-shell, this is a good place to start if you need a bit of a longer warm up and a refresher on your form.

Group Personal Training

The end goal. The pinnacle. Where you want to end up with your training. We train as a group. In it together. We work together to create a collective energy that will sweep you up and have you trying and achieving things that you wouldn’t have thought previously possible, solo.

These sessions are 60 minutes long, have a very intense & structured warm up, that will feel like a complete workout. And then the fun begins. We mix functional training, obstacle skills, gymnastic and primal movements with traditional lifting. And that’s just the strength focused sections. We climb stairs, we throw, we hurdle, we jump, we climb, we skip, we hang, we crawl, we sprint, we shuttle, we pull, we push, we sweat, we swear, we feel like we are done, then we do it all again.
